Bennett Park is between Roe Ave and Nall Ave on 77<sup>th<\/sup> Street. The park is in wonderful condition, shaded, and usually we are the only people there. It has a large open area for soccer or baseball, 1 small basketball court, large play equipment for multiple ages, a climber, ride-on toys, and a small covered shelter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Play Equipment<\/strong><br \/>\nThe play area is large, in excellent condition, and meets a variety of ages. It includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 large climbing structures<\/li>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>2 large slides<\/li>\n<li>2 smaller slides<\/li>\n<li>Challenging climbing activities<\/li>\n<li>Rubber chips underneath<\/li>\n<li>Bridge<\/li>\n<li>Educational Games (alphabet, words, numbers, tic-tac-toe)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<li>3 regular swings<\/li>\n<li>2 toddler swings<\/li>\n<li>Teeter-totter<\/li>\n<li>3 Rocking toys \u2013 train and 2 dinosaurs<\/li>\n<li>2 Balance platforms<\/li>\n<li>Helicopter for imaginative play<\/li>\n<li>Sandbox (does not have community toys)<\/li>\n<li>Tall metal climbing structure \u2013 great for the older kids. It is pretty high.<\/li>\n<li>Merry-go-round<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The play equipment is near the road. It is not a busy street, but you do have to make sure the little ones do not wander too far.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Covered Shelter<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is a full-covered shelter next to the play equipment at the front of the park. It is large enough to cover 1 picnic table. \u00a0There are 2 other picnic tables, not covered toward the middle of the park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Open Space and Baseball\/Soccer Field<\/strong><br \/>\nThese areas are set-off from the road so you do not have to worry about kids or balls rolling into the busy street. Great for running around, playing sports, or sitting on a blanket. The open space is not as shaded as the play-equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Insider tips<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This park is usually empty \u2013 so if you want some time alone with you kids, this is the place to go. If you are looking to meet other moms or kids, try <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Porter Park<\/span> or<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Franklin Park<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Great neighborhood park \u2013 perfect for picnics<\/li>\n<li>It has on-street parking.
