There are many McDonald’s in the Kansas City area. No two play-places are the same. Each one is structured differently, has different seating arrangements and different climbing structures.

This McDonald’s is not as clean as some others around but was decent. The actual main area was nice. Service was not as speedy but we were there during the lunch rush. It is conveniently located in the same parking lot as the Johnson County Central Resource Library.

The seating:

  • Plenty of seating inside the play-place (14 tables) 7 tables seat 4, 6 tables seat only2
  • Good amount of highchairs

The climbing structure:

  • The structure is set up with multiple tiers or shelves to climb up.
  • It is great for young climbers all the way up to older children. (my 2 1/2 year old could do it)
  • Have to be able to climb up a tube and not just steps
  • Small lower area for little ones to climb in
  • 2 slides
  • Multiple levels and large open areas

Other features:

  • Underwater theme
  • Restroom located right outside  play place
  • Bring condiments with you, only napkins and straws provided in play place
  • Doors close off the play place (2 sets) one lead to a hallway, the other leads directly to the exit

Insider Tips:
Socks are required to play in the play place. They sell them for $1 but they are huge tube socks that are not great for little ones.

There were a ton of kids when we visited and although it was very loud, there was definitely enough room for everyone to play.
