Taco via on opening day while waiting in line.

Taco Via has a few locations across Kansas City but our personal favorite is the 95th and Antioch location. Taco Via has a, sort of, cult following in Kansas City. Many of us grew up with “The Via” . Not everyone will love Taco Via.

Environment:
The decor leaves something to be desired. It is definitely from the 70’s and 80’s. The Antioch location has mismatched booths and pastel colored Southwest paintings and multiple sombrero sitings.

Place your order, find a seat and they will call your number when your food is up.

Kids love to eat- definitely kid-friendly

  • My children love to eat the flat nacho(no jalapenos)
  • The meat and cheese roll-ups (not offered at all locations).
  • Taco dog- can be just a plain hot-dog
  • Cheese Roll-Ups
  • Steamed flour tortilla

This is one place that my children will actually sit still and eat…quietly

Some menu items include:

  • taco
  • bowl of nachos
  • taco salad
  • burrito
  • taco dog
  • sancho
  • tacoburger
  • different platter combos.

Taco Via’s sauce is one of the things that makes it great. The cost of most menu items are between $1.95 and $5.95. . My favorite thing to get is the “Special” The special consists of a sancho, a nacho, a taco and a drink for $6.97. All menu items are good portions. The Taco Via taco puts the Taco Bell taco to shame in size.

Updated 11/29/2011 The Taco Via at 95th and Antioch has moved, and is now open!   The new location with be just west of Antioch off of 95th street in the old Blockbuster Video. After several months of being closed, they have reopened, and it’s a sight to see. Same recipes, same people working there, but now with new video board menus, and free drink refils! And we thought Taco Via couldn’t get any better!

Taco Via Trivia Fact: The girl in the Taco Via logo was actually drawn to represent one of the original owners!
